I am, and always will be, a Steve Martin fan. I can still remember the first time I saw him on Johnny Carson, all of the great SNL stuff, the live show at the Westchester Theater, The Jerk, and one of my all-time favorites Roxanne.I just finished his latest book Born Standing Up: A Comic's Life; and if you are interested in what makes a comedian tick, you will probably like this story. It's not written quite as well as I had expected, but Martin's journey from a lonely child to aspiring comedian and philosopher is quite interesting. He quit standup at the height of his popularity, apparently for all the right reasons and he never looked back - until now. Check it out...
