The progressive slippery slope...

Matthew Yglesias agrees with Matt Weiner's suggestion regarding wealthy citizen using their fortunes for political purposes:

"One possible answer is that we should prevent such extreme concentrations of wealth. John Rawls thought extreme concentrations of wealth were bad precisely because that much money led to disproportionate political power (and meant that people without the money were shut out of political power in important ways)."

You can find this interesting or terrifying (you assume correctly that I am the latter); and then you can wonder why it has only come up as a response to Sheldon Adelson possibly dedicating some $250 (pinky to the corner of your mouth now) million for the 2008 political campaign.
I don't Matt needs any further explanation of what exactly Liberal Fascism is...
