"When it comes to religion, it seems, Americans prefer a buffet of the spirit."Whether we like it or not (attention ACLU and Chris Hitchens!) we are ALL into religion. Some of us are just not willing to admit that our obsessions - work, athesim, vegan ism, environmentalism, etc. - are one-and-the-same replacements for a structure and belief system that we all seem to need.
